蘇峻亂，諸庾逃散。庾冰時為吳郡，單身奔亡，民吏皆去。唯郡卒獨以小船載冰出錢塘口，蘧篨覆之。時峻賞募覓冰，屬所在搜檢甚急。卒舍船市渚，因飲酒醉還，舞棹向船曰：“何處覓庾吳郡？此中便是。”冰大惶怖，然不敢動。監司見船小裝狹，謂卒狂醉，都不復疑。自送過浙江，寄山陰魏家，得免。後事平，冰欲報卒，適其所願。卒曰：“出自廝下，不願名器。少苦執鞭，恒患不得快飲酒。使其酒足余年畢矣，無所復須。”冰為起大舍，市奴婢，使門內有百斛酒，終其身。時謂此卒非唯有智，且亦達生。
